Once Upon a Tooth Fairy
"The tooth fairy That's where my fascination with teeth began. I wasn't concerned about where the tooth went, or even the money under the pillow. It was watching the new tooth come in that really intrigued me. I'd spend quite a while in front of the mirror trying to spot the new tooth growing in. I was so excited every time I lost a tooth my parents had to stop me from pulling it out prematurely So it's no surprise that I ultimately chose dentistry as a career. Coupled with the fact that I had an uncle who was a dentist, and whom I greatly admired, my destiny was pretty clear. As a dentist for over ten years now, and as a dental patient for even longer, you come to realize there really are tooth fairies out there."
In a Place Not so Far Away
"When it came to choosing where to practice, there was very little doubt in my mind. I knew I wanted a community like Riverdale. It's not your stereotypical perception of New York. People really do care deeply for each other here. This is a place where most of my patients are also my friends and neighbors. Over the last ten years, I've cultivated relationships with many of my patients which I find indispensable. I trade recipes with some and family photos with others. I even bring ice cream to the home of every child who has their tooth pulled by me. I know I don't have to do this. But it's something I'd do for any member of my family And that's the way I want my patients to feel, just like family."
The Perfect Ending
"When patients see you in the neighborhood and warmly introduce you to their friends as the dentist with the `gentle hands,' it's a good feeling. I don't even have to advertise - my patients do it for me! Even children come up to me in the park and actually ask me to pull their teeth for them. I like to think it's not just for the ice cream afterwards. I provide every one of any patients with the highest-quality care possible and the latest technology. I want your dental visit to be an experience, not just an appointment. That's why I make sure you always feel comfortable and never rushed. After all, it's my business to make you smile."
